The New Hampshire Gold Currency Bill Gains New Life.

Filed under: General — kbcjedi @ 5:28 pm

The New Hampshire Gold Currency Bill, narrowly defeated 5 years ago has gained new life with the Ron Paul movement and the Free State project. 40 Free staters are now running for State Congressional Office including Henry Mcelroy, who originally introduced the Gold money Bill 5 years ago. With the collapse of the World Economy due to the use of the Federal Reserve Fiat currency and the rising awareness of the problems with the Fed spurned by Dr. Ron Paul; the New Hampshire Gold currency bill is well positioned to pass in the next year. A parallel Gold-backed currency will cause a flood of investment into New Hampshire setting up the example for the rest of the nation. The Gold currency bill written by Dr. Edwin Vieira can be transferred to any state in the Republic.

“Boom and Bust” Monopoly Money, “Not Placebo Effect”

Sometimes it’s painful to read the business press, and never more so than during an economic slump. Reporters flail about for explanations. They quote stock analysts, politicians, day traders, other journalists, and even, from time to time, academic economists. But they never seem to arrive at anything approaching an explanation.

And what, precisely, are we seeking to explain? At any given time in a regular economic setting, some businesses are succeeding and some are failing. Laborers shift from one firm and sector to another. This is a picture of a dynamic market economy in which resources are finding their way to their most productive uses.

What’s unusual is when the business failures and layoffs occur in a cluster, as if many normally savvy entrepreneurs, in the same interval of time, just happen to make a series of bad judgements. It is the coincidence of these bad judgements—these errors of investment that come together to threaten recession—that cries out for an explanation.

And certainly, if you are purporting to examine the merit of various anti-recession measures, you surely need some explanation of what brings about downturns. Right now, the most common attempt at a theory has something to do with consumer confidence. The press likes this one, probably because this was the Clinton administration’s theory as to why, day by day, the economy became weaker in the last months of 2000.

The idea is this. If consumers believe the economy is headed down, they might save instead of spend. The business sector, afflicted with the same fears, doesn’t invest. The two forces merge to create a decline in overall demand for goods and services, and, next thing you know, it’s straight into the economic gutter.

So is there anything to the “talk theory” of recession? As Frank Shostak has pointed out, this theory implies that underlying economic reality has no meaning. Whether we are rich or poor depends on our collective state of mind. A recession becomes nothing but a national bad mood.

On the same theory, you could also claim that the economic boom of the 1990s was a result of happy talk from government officials. And maybe, based on this idea, the best way to avoid recession is to turn off our radios, televisions, and computers. We should just sit back and meditate on government press releases. That’ll keep the boom going.

Gosh, maybe we can talk our way into perpetual prosperity. If only we knew the magic words, we could print them in a book and ship it to the developing world where they can all talk their way into prosperity too. Maybe there should be jail sentences for naysayers, who, after all, threaten the national well-being.

Does it sound absurd? Of course. But the business press, woefully uneducated in economic theory and relentlessly biased, reports it straight, as if those pushing the talk theory of the business cycle might not have a political purpose in mind. And that purpose is obvious: deny the reality of the situation and promote an illusion.

Another theory going the rounds is that business cycles are like Clemenza’s theory of familial war from Godfather I: “This thing’s gotta happen every five years or so—ten years—helps to get rid of the bad blood.” And sometimes there seems to be a superficial plausibility to the idea. But to say something happens in cycles is not to explain it; it is only to observe the obvious.

Business cycle theories are legion and they come and go. But the only explanation that has stood the test of time was first advanced in 1912, in Ludwig von Mises’s masterwork, The Theory of Money and Credit. Elaborations on the theory, by Mises and his student Hayek in the 1930s, culminated in the Austrian theory of the trade cycle.

The theory begins by observing the profound effect that interest rates have on investment decisions. Left to the market, interest rates are determined by the supply of credit (a mirror of the savings rate) and the willingness to takes risks in the market (a mirror of the return on capital). What throws this out of whack is manipulation by the central bank.

When the Fed feeds artificial credit into the economy by lowering interest rates, it spurs investments in projects that don’t eventually pan out. In this economic boom, the high-tech and dot com manias resulted from a decade of sustained money growth via lower interest rates. When the Fed stepped on the brakes to prevent prices from rising, it prompted a sell-off, and hence a downturn.

What’s tricky to understand is what can’t be seen. Just because prices aren’t going up doesn’t mean the money supply is in check. Just because people in some sectors are getting rich doesn’t mean that the prosperity is on solid ground. Just because the stock market is going up doesn’t mean that the architecture of investment (to use Jim Grant’s phrase) is in good working order.

This theory is strongly supported by the data. The dot come runup coincided with a money supply runup, beginning in 1995. The money supply (the Fed’s MZM) slightly flattened in 1996 and the begin zooming again in 1997, peaking at a 15% increase in January of 1999. The rate of increase began to fall precipitously thereafter, triggering a much needed sell-off. The money supply as measured by MZM began at $3.2 trillion in 1997 and sits at $4.7 trillion today. Clearly, the judgments of investors and entrepreneurs were being distorted by massive injections of money and credit.

Right now, conventional wisdom says that the Fed should flood the economy with money and credit. But as we can see, it is precisely this path that created the problems to begin with. Besides, Japan tried this trick in the 1990s, even lowering interest rates to zero, without effect.

No Austrian economist was surprised when the Fed’s dramatic interventions produced no lasting effect on the markets. Clemenza is correct to this extent: there is bad blood in the economy and it needs to be drained.

There are ways to make recessions easier to endure. Cutting taxes is one of them. Getting rid of regulations that hinder enterprise is another. The purpose of such efforts is not to stimulate demand (as Bush’s advisers seem to think) but to unshackle entrepreneurship and permit the consuming public more freedom of choice.

But this theory is at once too sophisticated and too clear for most business reporters to grasp. They aren’t interested in reading a dusty old treatise on monetary theory. Neither, I’m afraid, are Bush’s economic advisers. But at least Bush’s intuitions are on track. A big, immediate tax cut won’t stop the slide, but it will help provide the American people a cushion to land on, as well as a foundation for the future.

New Hampshire Recount Finally Done. Suspicious are High of Second Fix.

Filed under: General — kbcjedi @ 4:06 am

John McCain 88,571 88,713

Mitt Romney 75,546 75,675

Mike Huckabee 26,859 26,916

Rudolph Giuliani 20,439 20,344

Ron Paul 18,308 18,346

Fred Thompson 2,894 2,956

Duncan Hunter 1,225 1,192

According to the recount there is no real fraud, but wait till you hear the backstory.

Bev Harris of Blackboxvoting.org has called the New Hampshire recount a criminal enterprise and has called for the resignation of Secretary of State, William Gardner. Bev Harris was instrumental in uncovering the vote fraud in the 2004, Presidential election in Ohio. Bev Harris confronted William Gardner about his careless chain of custody of the ballots. The supposed sealed ballots had an adhesive sticker that a six-year old child could remove without any tearing or sticking. You could call them Non-adhesive adhesives designed specifically for Vote fraud, perhaps Diebold threw these in for free.

The ballot boxes and memory cards rather than being kept in a locked safe which is protocol, they were left in an unlocked room, unguarded. The same non-adhesive stickers were placed on the door as some sort of sick joke by the New Hampshire Secretary of State. In an earlier video by Bev Harris it was proven that memory cards could be re-programmed within ten seconds with a hand held scanner. Large slits were also found at the bottom of the sealed cardboard boxes that could allow for easy removal of ballots. The recount itself was intentionally delayed till after super Tuesday to insure that the recount results would not be reported in time to influence the results of the 23 primaries which most likely would determine the nominee for the Republican ticket. The anger and outrage at the contrived recount numbers will not soon go away and may land William Gardner and his whole office in jail. The issue of election fraud is spreading like wildfire in these united states, even as the mainstream media is completely mum on the issue. America is looking more and more like a Banana Republic.

Secretary of State Delaying Republican New Hampshire Recount, more Fraud.

Filed under: General — kbcjedi @ 8:34 pm

The ballots are being switched, that is the only reason to delay the recount. The sealed ballots are removable stickers kept in an unlocked room, rather than a safe. The normal protocol has been changed for this year’s Presidential primary; William Gardner has been caught lying on camera, upon questioning by blackboxvoting.org

Republican Presidential candidate Albert Howard, has sent a letter vehemently objecting to the delay in the Recount. William Gardner is delaying the recount; to avoid the recount having an influence on Super Tuesday primary day where 22 states have their primary. Super Tuesday will determine who will win the nominations for both the Democratic and Republican parties.

January 25, 2008HAND DELIVERED
Secretary of State
State of New Hampshire
Dept. of State
107 N. Main St. Rm 204
Concord, NH 03301

Re: RECESS

Dear Mr. Gardner:

This letter is being prepared for delivery to you following today’s lunch break.

Earlier today, Assistant Secretary of State David Scanlan asked me for my consent to a recess in the recount, the recess to span Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.

This is to inform you that I strenuously object to any suspension of the recount process.

I can think of no more important business for the State than the completion of the recount process.

The nation is in the early stages of the 2008 Presidential electoral process. The performance of the machines used in New Hampshire is of vital importance. The sooner the results are known and available to the People and to other units of government charged with conducting Primaries and General Elections, the better for the nation.

In addition, with the sudden start of the recount process, I and the observers have made costly arrangements for transportation, housing and personal time away from their places of employment that cannot be changed without personal harm.

Before any decision is made to suspend the recount over my objection I am respectfully requesting that you cite your legal authority to suspend the recount over my objections and under the current facts and circumstances; it was bad enough that the recount was not started on the date explicitly required by New Hampshire law.

Very truly yours,

Albert B. Howard

Howard had requested the hand count after noting that results reported by C-SPAN on Election Night allegedly showed him as having many more votes than were finally reported in the official results after the polls closed. He gave a check for $57,600, raised by supporters, to the SoS on January 16th. His hand count finally began yesterday, after Kucinich’s stopped when the funds submitted so far had apparently been spent.

Yesterday, we pointed to Gardner’s apparent lie to the media, claiming that Democratic candidate Dennis Kucinich was “satisfied at the integrity of the recount” despite a letter from Kucinich to Gardner the day before (posted exclusively by The BRAD BLOG here), clearly revealing Kucinich to be anything but “satisfied,” and, in fact, having requested “a complete and accurate recount of all ballots” to be carried out at state expense, given the “significant variances” discovered so far during the counting of just one NH county.

We had left a message with the SoS office seeking comment and/or clarification for Gardner’s statement to the media. He has yet to return our call.

UPDATE 1/26/08, 1:35am PT: We’ve been on the road, and in a media conference all day, so haven’t been able to follow up ourselves, but an emailer writes to tell us, “the NH SOS told Albert Howard that there would be NO recess in the counting of ballots next week”.

Bev Harris reports in comments (along with additional thoughts on the dynamics of SoS Gardner and Dept. SoS David Scanlan) that she has received a similar report from someone else on the ground in NH, that the count will proceed without hold up. Though the reasons for the initially attempted halt remain a mystery for now.

What’s clear is that standing up, and pushing back loudly and publicly by Howard has made a difference. If Democrats did the same, we’d probably not be in this fine mess in the first place…

Republican Re-count in New Hampshire to start on Tuesday Jan 22nd

Filed under: General — kbcjedi @ 3:30 am

With rampant fraud already being uncovered in the democratic re-count; there is already suspicion that the Republican re-count has been fixed again. Numerous sealed ballot boxes were discovered with slits in the bottom, during the democratic re-count. In Hillsborough county has reported a vote change of 1869 votes, Clinton lost 675 votes in the re-count, Edwards lost 279 votes, Obama lost 679, and Richardson lost 236, this is in just one county!

Americans around the country are out-raged that New Hampshire Secretary has taken over a week to start the re-count; people are suspecting that votes have already been replaced to reflect the vote count from the original election.

New Hampshire Re-count to take a month. Delays are Fraud too!

Filed under: General — kbcjedi @ 5:16 pm

The NH State Secretary office has announced that the re-count for both the Democratic and Republican primaries will take over a month eliminating their potential influence on determining the nominees for the respective parties. Delay is another form of fraud, William Gardiner has a moral and legal responsibility to finish the re-count before Super Tuesday, which has 22 primaries including New York and California.

Voter fraud of course is not being reported in the mainstream media, they are part of the problem with their mysterious polling process, but it is being reported overseas.

The mainstream Italian media are reporting both the rigging of the New Hampshire primary for Senator Hillary Clinton and the official demands for a swift, accurate and impartial recount. In an article written by Marcello Foa, one of Europe’s most respected journalists, it appears that vote tallies for all Democratic candidates as well as Republicans were reduced by Diebold vote-counting machines.

The NH secretary of State William Gardiner has kept New Hampshire as the first primary state for 30 years and has accrued all the benefits of that position; National Media attention, Huge Campaign and Tourist revenue and of course massive influence in the Nomination process. By dragging their feet now, the NH secretary is opening NH up to multiple lawsuits from defrauded American citizens nation-wide who have spent enormous amount of time and money promoting their candidates in New Hampshire for over two months prior to the primary.

According to U.S. Military contacts, there is voter fraud also in Iowa where an Israeli defense contractor, Elron Electronics held the contract for the Iowa caucuses. The concern of the Military now, is one of National Security; where it has been proven that electronic voting machines can be hacked by satellite or hand-held scanners within a matter of seconds. Programs can be inserted with pre-tabulated results, that make it look like there is no voter fraud. There is talk of bringing in the Provost Marshal to secure the election process from foreign and domestic manipulation. The Provost Marshal duty is to secure the Republic from enemies foreign and domestic.

New Hampshire Republican Re-count being blocked by Paypal

Filed under: General — kbcjedi @ 2:57 pm

Paypal is blocking the funds of the granny-warriors who have spearheaded the move for a recount through a minor Republican Presidential candidate named Albert Howard.
The Democratic recount has already started with Dennis Kucinich paying 25K of the 100K necessary for a recount on the democratic side.
The republican recount is in jeopardy because of the shenanigans being perpetrated through paypal. The real question remains who told paypal to freeze the funds? The deadline to start the Republican recount may be 5pm today. The recount concerns the integrity of the whole election process. The U.S. Military is aware of the potential for voter fraud in New Hampshire and the earlier caucus in Iowa. The electronic machines are a direct threat to the American Republic, it is an issue of National Security. The possibility for foreign intelligence agencies to hack into U.S. elections either via satellite or hand-held scanners is very likely due to the vulnerability of the computer systems as well as the access of the voting machines by the private companies diebold in New Hampshire.

New Hampshire Vote Recount Process

Filed under: General — kbcjedi @ 1:31 pm

I am writing to share with you what I know about the New Hampshire Recount process.

At this time the paper ballots are sealed and in the possession of the Towns and Cities where they were cast. As with all great magicians the greatest illusions are done right before our eyes, and this is our concern with the Diebold Scanners and voting machines.

Past demonstrations have shown that these machines could skew the vote without the public or election officials knowing anything has happened. For this reason we have asked for a HAND RECOUNT of the ENTIRE STATE.

For anyone who may be concerned that a potential fraud could be covered up between now and Wednesday please sit back and consider this.

I live in New Hampshire because of the quality of life, a quality that starts with the honest hard working people who live here. Just think, for any funny business to take place from this point on, it would have to be a massive coordinated effort in over two hundred cities and towns, done right in front of the good people who live here. To pull that off in a few days would take real magic.

Now back to the process The Sec. of State will provide State Police Escort for the officials picking up the sealed paper ballots, each person who handles the ballots at any time will have to sign off on a ledger just like when you send registered mail. From there they will go to the location chosen for the recount. Each candidate can have their own team of observers if they so choose. Some of the logistics of the vote count still need to be worked out and as we (all those supporting Albert Howard’s efforts) are paying for the Recount we will have some input into the process. I personally suggested several video cameras streaming live to monitors and to the Internet. They liked the idea but we will definitely need help from our more tech savvy supporters.

Republican Presidential candidate Albert Howard files for Re-count in New Hampshire

Filed under: General — kbcjedi @ 1:20 pm

To all lovers of freedom and liberty,

As of 1:30 PM EST Friday, January 11th 2008 I did in fact pay the required $2,000 Fee to initiate an official recount of the New Hampshire primary election for the Republican Party.

Much discussion and speculation has been hitting the News and Blog sites. I would like to make my position perfectly clear as to where I stand regarding this recount effort.

First and foremost I want everyone to know exactly where I stand regarding the Ron Paul Campaign. I have nothing but the utmost respect for Dr. Paul and in no way do I want the issue of a recount to cause any riff in the support of his candidacy. In fact I can only hope that my actions will strengthen the cause for which he so passionately stands for.

My real concern is the controversial Diebold Electronic Scanning machines. They were used for 81% of the vote counting in New Hampshire. For the security of a free State we must keep our election process clean, open and fair. This is why I as well as many others supporting this effort feel it is necessary to challenge the discrepancy between the hand counted votes and the Machine counted votes. I believe it is better to take action now in the first primary than later.Thank you for all your support in the cause of truth, righteousness and liberty. To help finance the vote recount that is being sponsored by the grassroots: Recount-chip-in.

Albert Howard
